News, JAKARTA – Tourism and Creative Economy (Minbarikraf) Minister Sandiag Uno visited Pahwang Island, Besawaran Regency, Lampung, on Sunday (28/8/2022).

Sandiaga’s arrival on Pahawang Island was part of the 2022 Indonesian Tourist Village Award (ADWI) and inaugurated the Pahawang Cultural Festival.

Sandiaga Uno arrived at Jelarangan Pier on Pahawang Island after traveling from the station at Villa Andreas on a speedboat.

His presence was immediately greeted by the traditional chiefs and the sambai dance.

While under the umbrella of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Ono, dancers and traditional Lampung Gambulan music accompanied them to the ranks of Furkobimda.

Accompany Forkopimda members Sandiaga Uno to showcase the potential of Pahawang Island and greet the villagers.

There, Sandiaga Uno saw firsthand a lunkhead mangrove making platform typical of Pahawang Island, a miniature Pinisi ship making platform, fishing gear making souvenirs, and a souvenir exhibit.

Sandiaga Uno is once again presented with views of the activities of the villagers ranging from the art of tambourine, children playing traditional games such as engklek and enggrang among others.

During his visit, Sandiaga Ono met an elder named Barmawi who was 77 years old.
