Tel Aviv – The Israelis reject the view that the Israeli army should choose a large-scale military operation in the Gaza Strip to restore calm to the Jewish settlements near the coastal strip.

The results of the poll conducted by Israeli television were revealed on Sunday (28/8/2022).

Channel 13 TV conducted an opinion poll in which it asked the Israelis to comment on the statements of IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi regarding military operations in Gaza to achieve 15 years of calm.

According to the poll, 65% of the Israelis said they were not ready for such a military operation.

The poll found that “only 21% of Israelis are ready for the operation, while only 29% of settlers are ready for it.”

Kohavi said that a large-scale military operation in Gaza would bring about 15 years of calm, but that the price would be very high, including the deaths of 300 Israeli soldiers.
