Jakarta – After achieving success for six consecutive years, this year the largest and most prestigious event of the Indonesian Television Awards (ITA) will return.

The ITA 2022 event will take place on September 22, 2022 and will be broadcast live by Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia (RCTI) and also GTV starting at 17.30 WIB, from Asia’s most advanced and integrated studio, namely Studio RCTI+, Jakarta.

This year ITA is the seventh time that the event presents 14 categories of awards consisting of 9 categories for TV programs and 4 individual categories. While the other first category is a special award, the winner will be chosen directly based on the results of a Roy Morgan Research survey. Winners were selected from 13 categories (TV Shows and Individuals) based on the results of a community vote that opened from August 29 to September 18, 2022 at 00.00 WIB. Voting can be done through the RCTI+ app, social media Instagram and Facebook Indonesia Television Awards.

Currently, the broadcasting industry, especially television in Indonesia, maintains its presence to continue to entertain people arriving all over the archipelago. Therefore, RCTI is always committed to supporting award programs such as ITA 2022, as a form of appreciation to the parties behind creating entertainment programs that are broadcast on television. We hope that ITA 2022 will be an encouragement to all those working in television to continue producing creativity or the best programming,” said Denny Pottery, Director of Programming and Acquisition at RCTI.

In the past year, many programs and big names of actors and actresses have won. Like Arya Saluka who became the most famous Sinetron actor in his role in the TV series Ikatan CInta (RCTI), there is Robin Unso who won the most famous TV host. Meanwhile, the Love Association won the most popular Primetime Drama and the Lapor Pak won the most popular Primetime! (Trans 7). Over the past year, of course, there have been many programs that have caught the attention of viewers, so there will be a stiff competition for this year’s TV Indonesia Awards!

But what is certain is that all candidates in 14 categories of ITA 2022 are the result of a survey conducted by Roy Morgan Research, an independent survey agency from Australia, and have been in Indonesia since 2004. Roy Morgan Research conducted a survey with respondents from 28 cities located In 17 provinces in Indonesia. Roy Morgan Research conducted a survey by visiting TV viewers live but still applied strict health protocols.

The survey conducted by Roy Morgan Research is to find out which TV shows are becoming popular in the community, based on the most popular programs automatically mentioned by respondents. However, ITA 2022 candidate programs are limited in terms of their airtime, which are programs that air from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.

“Our survey for ITA 2022, as a whole, is actually not much different from the previous one. For example, we (Roy Morgan Research) continue sampling by visiting the homes of television viewers and conducting interviews to find out the most liked and preferred programs for each category. The data of the nominees for the Indonesian Television Awards 2022 is out,” said Ira Sukerman in his capacity as Director of the Roy Morgan Research Foundation.

TV viewers who want to vote for their favorite candidates can use the RCTI+ app, or social media Instagram (indonesiantvawards) and Facebook (Indonesian Television Awards). The voting period is open from August 29 to September 18, 2022 at 00.00 WIB. The calculation and analysis of the vote on social media will be conducted by a data-driven strategic advisor, Provetic, to maintain the accuracy of the calculation and validate voter data. After that, the voting results will be verified by an independent auditor, and the results will be announced at the Indonesian Television Awards 2022 Summit Night.

“Today’s social media users continue to increase, and RCTI itself as the first private TV in Indonesia has collaborated several times between the world of television and social media, especially in award programs such as ITA 2022. Therefore, at ITA 2022, you can show that as Iwan Setiawan said as Principal Director of Provetic: “TV and social media can go hand in hand and support each other.”
