The BIA is an institution formed by President Suharto to reduce the mandate of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais) after the dismissal of LB Moerdani as Minister of Defense and Security (Menhankam) in 1993.
Still in the intelligence world, Ari was then entrusted with the post of Director D of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS). Then his military career went on to become Commander of the Military Command (Pangdam) I / Bukit Barisan, Maidan (September 1994 – August 1995), Regional Assistant to the Chief of Staff of ABRI (August 1995-August 29, 1997), Commander of ABRI Staff and Command School (Dansesko) ( 29 August 1997). -28 May 1998), head of the Coordination Center for Law Enforcement and Security System Activities in the Ministry of Defense (May 1998 – November 1999).
