News, JAKARTA – Polda Metro Jaya organized a large-scale patrol to anticipate activities disrupting public security and order (Kamtipmas), Wednesday evening (24/8/2022).
The patrol continued until Thursday (25/8/2022), in the early hours of this morning, with the aim of appealing to people who are still crowding.
“Tonight we will be conducting large-scale patrols in the context of crowd-watching activities,” Kanit 2 Satpamwal Ditlantas Metro Jaya, AKP Ulizar, told reporters, Wednesday (24/8/2022).
In addition to crowds, this patrol will also appeal to the public for organized traffic, especially regarding illegal parking.
“Keep the traffic rules, and don’t park carelessly for the benefit of other road users,” he said.
Followed by Ulizar, this large-scale patrol is a joint patrol that includes elements of the Jakarta Provincial Government (DKI), such as the Transportation Agency (Dishub) and Satpol PP.
“(The route) around Sudirman-Thamrin and places where there are likely crowds, we urge you to continue to wear masks and comply with sanitary measures because there are still many confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jakarta,” he explained.
Furthermore, Yulizar explained that if there were still people gathered, his party would plead with them to go home.
“If there are still our little brothers organizing the crowd, we urge them to go home,” he said.
